Ali began her career in the NHS in 1997, starting with a focus on cardiology. She quickly became an integral part of the cardiac arrest team and was actively involved in trauma emergencies. Demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication, Ali was one of only ten chosen annually to complete her Nursing Degree through an accelerated program whilst working in the hospital.

After earning her degree, Ali transitioned to General Surgery and Breast Care before moving to the Isle of Man, where she worked in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department. Later, she moved into Primary Care, where she continued to expand her expertise.

Ali has since completed advanced training and holds a number of postgraduate qualifications in a wide range of areas, including

Minor Illness & Injury, Clinical Skills, Diabetes Management, Women’s Health Management, Cardiovascular Disease Management, Respiratory Disease Management, and Sexual Health & Contraception. She is also a qualified Independent & Supplementary Prescriber, offering a broad scope of care and support to her patients.

Privately, Ali has worked as a consultant where she was part of a team who assessed and evaluated NHS trusts across the UK. This included a comprehensive assessment of the resources available in Primary Care, Secondary Care, Social Care, Mental Health and other Community Based Services. This gave a valuable insight across the entire health and social care system in each area with the aim of optimising resource allocation and service delivery which in turn helped to develop efficient and effective services tailored to meet specific regional demands.

Ali also has a solid background in aesthetics as a practitioner and has developed a lot of expertise in the field. She trained at the Harley Academy in London who are the UK’s leading postgraduate training provider of higher education in aesthetic medicine. She especially enjoys transforming patients enhancing their appearances after addressing an individuals specific skin concern and targeting aging skin. Ali will utilise her skills to ensure a natural and comfortable look and discuss all options with you prior to any treatment being undertaken.

Ali & Angie met at a Welsh training event and proved their skills which lead to teaching medical professionals new techniques and offering ongoing support. Ali & Angie decided to collaborate and open their own clinic where MEDICA was born.

Angie began her nursing career at the young age of 17, fulfilling a lifelong dream. After qualifying, she worked in various specialties, including Cardiology, Dermatology, Renal and Care of the Elderly, until her children were older.

Eighteen years ago, Angie took on a new challenge in substance misuse. During this time, Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) became a major focus in healthcare. Angie transitioned into a lead role for BBVs, training with the Royal College of General Practitioners. She developed a new service for screening and treating BBVs, sparking her passion for Hepatology (liver disease).

Fourteen years ago, Angie became the Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist where she has since driven the success of a nurse-led service caring for patients with complex chronic liver diseases, as well as those pre and post transplant. She earned a postgraduate qualification in Hepatology from Queen Elizabeth Hospital and also gained her Non-Medical Prescribing qualification. She currently remains in this role.

Alongside her clinical work, Angie has previously served as a counsellor for Childline. Eighteen years ago, she took on a part-time role with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), quickly rising to the rank of Captain. There, she became an advanced skills instructor in areas like rock climbing, abseiling and skills at arms. She also joined the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), where she helped develop the RCN Prince of Wales Nursing Cadet Scheme (now the RCN King’s Nursing Cadets), introducing young people (ages 16-25) to all aspects of nursing.

In 2017, Angie shifted her focus to aesthetics, driven not just by the treatments themselves but by the psychological impact they could have on individuals helping to build their confidence and self-esteem. She trained with leading doctors in the industry, gaining advanced clinical skills and practices. practices. Angie previously owned Aurora Aesthetics until she met Ali, with whom she decided to open MEDICA Clinic.

Lynsey’s journey began in 2013 when she started her career teaching fitness classes which included Boot Camps, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Legs, Bums & Tums (LBT) and in 2017 incorporated Spin. She advanced her qualifications to become a Level 3 Personal Trainer (PT) and eventually expanded her expertise into Sports Massage.

Lynsey now works as a skilled Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer with a passion for helping clients achieve their fitness goals. Specialising in deep tissue massage, sports massage and mobility treatments she combines her in-depth knowledge of anatomy and movement mechanics to create personalised plans tailored to each individual, enhancing their wellbeing.

On a personal level, Lynsey has demonstrated capabilities to Muay Thai earning ‘Kru’ level certification with the International Thai Boxing Federation (ITBF) and currently teaches this in her studio. With a commitment to continuous learning, Lynsey is presently studying to become a Pilates Instructor alongside undertaking a Sports Kinesiology Taping Course.

With years of experience in the fitness industry, Lynsey has worked with a wide range of clients, from athletes preparing for competition to individuals recovering from injury to managing chronic muscle tension. She is particularly skilled in pre and post event massage with her therapeutics improving circulation, muscle fatigue reduction and supporting longevity in musculoskeletal health. Her holistic approach to health combines fitness, recovery, and injury prevention, ensuring clients feel healthier, stronger and balanced both physically and mentally.
